Did Jesus Die for PT Barnum?

As human beings, not only are we capable of a host of distractions at any and all given moments, but we actually *want* to be distracted. We get hung up on details and particulars that distract us from the fundamental reality of the Gospel of Christ: That Christ died for all, in all of our individual and collective ugliness. When we lose sight of that, our own judgements and evaluations become the basis with which we engage with others. This makes the Ministry of Reconciliation to which we are called impossible. As new creations, it is our task to be moved by the Love of God in Christ Jesus to see the New Creation all around us and within others.
