New Worship Leader
Worship Ministry Leader
St. Luke Anglican Church (SLAC) is seeking a worship leader who understands that worship is not fundamentally about performance, production, or personal platform, but about creating space for the people of God to encounter Jesus and respond to the leading of the Holy Spirit. The right candidate will possess musical excellence, spiritual maturity, and a deep attentiveness to God’s presence, with a desire to listen, discern, and faithfully participate in what the Spirit is doing among us. They will collaborate closely with clergy and lay leaders to shape worship that is reverent, joyful, and accessible, while helping to cultivate a culture of prayer, creativity, and expectation.
More than simply filling an existing role, we are looking for someone eager to proactively build something alongside us: to disciple volunteers, invest in relationships, and help establish the rhythms, culture, and worshiping life of a church that is still being planted. We want a leader who is excited by the opportunity to create, experiment, and dream together, trusting that the Holy Spirit is still forming our community and leading us into the future. Above all, we seek someone who longs to join a people committed to growing together into the fullness of life in Christ.

Additional Notes
- The Diocese of Churches for the Sake of Others (C4SO) and SLAC have periodic staff development, background checks, and MinistrySafe training that all employees are expected to participate in and fulfill requirements.
- Some times of year are busier than others, so there will be weeks that are on average fewer and others where it is over.
- There will be a couple of times of year that require more work and services (Fall Start Up, Advent, Holy Week) and that are very important to be present for. Please select your times away to not be on major holidays.
- You are authorized to miss 4 Sundays per calendar year. If you need to miss a Sunday (you don’t have to be there every Sunday!), you need to find a replacement and plan the service far ahead of time with him/her so that it still runs smoothly.
- Because we are a church plant and trying to figure out rhythms of work and rest, other services, this document is a working document. Should we decide that there are more responsibilities and needs, we will adjust compensation accordingly to ensure you are fairly and competitively compensated.
- It is important for budgetary and compensation adjustments to be communicated well in advance. Should budgetary or compensation adjustments be necessary or planned, the Rector will communicate these plans clearly with at least 60 days notice. In addition, the Rector will keep the Worship Ministry Leader notified of any changes or progress during that time.
